This is an information-full episode! I learned so much and am grateful that Dr. Humberto Cosenza made the time to have this conversation. He joined me from his home in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
He is an immunologist and explains the importance of differentiating between infection and disease, talks me through how our immune system works, and we talk a lot about the coronavirus and the current global pandemic. He shares some incredible stories about science at the highest levels and working with Nobel Laureates. We also discuss the current state of US politics. He shares his perspective as someone who lived in the US during the 1960's and 70's, and who now observes what is happening from afar.
